Apikri, in collaboration with Eximbank, conducted a workshop on leather crafting techniques from November 19-21, 2024, in Amuntai, South Kalimantan. The training aimed to enhance the skills and creativity of local artisans, focusing on crafting high-quality leather products to meet market demands.
The workshop featured Athi Munzillah and Surono, skilled leather artisans from Apikri, who served as trainers. They shared their expertise with around ten local artisans, providing hands-on guidance and innovative techniques to improve craftsmanship. The program is part of Eximbank's initiative to support small-scale artisans and promote sustainable livelihoods.
Participants expressed their appreciation for the training, highlighting the new skills and insights gained during the sessions. This collaboration between Apikri and Eximbank showcases a commitment to empowering local communities through skill development and capacity building in the creative economy sector.
