Bantul, Indonesia – On November 22, 2024, Apikri accompanied seven participants of the UPT Operator Technical Training from Southeast Maluku Regency to the Batik craft center in Giriloyo, Bantul. Apikri representatives Asmi Gading and Syaifudin guided the group during the visit, which aimed to provide firsthand experience and insights into the traditional batik-making process.

The participants showed great enthusiasm as they engaged in discussions with the owner of a Batik workshop in Wukirsari, Giriloyo. They listened attentively to the explanations about the intricate techniques, cultural significance, and market potential of Batik products. The interactive session allowed the participants to deepen their understanding of the craft, sparking ideas for its application in their local context.

This visit was a key part of the training program hosted by Apikri, designed to empower UPT operators with practical knowledge of Indonesia’s diverse craft industries. By facilitating such hands-on experiences, Apikri continues to support the development of traditional crafts and inspire participants to apply innovative approaches in their respective regions.
