Bantul — The third day of the mentoring program between UGM’s Architecture students and Apikri on November 2, 2025, focused on hands-on practice in wood joinery techniques, specifically on table construction. The ten participating students—six male and four female—worked together enthusiastically to refine and realize their design concepts that had been developed in previous sessions.

Guided by two Apikri mentors, the students applied their design ideas into practice, learning the precision and creativity required in woodworking. Through teamwork and guidance, their table designs gradually took shape, reflecting the students’ commitment and collaboration. Despite the limited time, the session successfully produced a prototype table that demonstrated the knock-down joinery technique taught throughout the program.

The atmosphere during the final day was filled with joy and satisfaction as the students saw their concepts become tangible products. “We’re happy with the result,” said Naufal, the group leader from the Architecture Department. “Although we still have more design ideas, we plan to continue developing them in future collaborations with Apikri, especially in projects related to crafts and other construction-based products.”
